Sam's Simple Safety Steps

1. How do I make strong passwords?  
   Make them long and unique for every site for which you have an account.
   
   How long do I make a password?
   Aim for 17 or more characters. The longer the better;  makes it harder for a hacker to guess.
   
   Don't make the password obvious:
   Use a mix of upper and lower case letters, numbers, and symbols. use a long passphrase made of 5 to 7 words that have nothing in common.
   
   Example: HoLa2Tomm6orrowstaRwars1Peepee
                 (This is only an example, do not use this example)

Make it Unique:
      Never use the same password twice on different websites.

Don't use personal data: Don’t use birthdays, city of birth, and other information that is on      your social media accounts.

2. Use 2-step verification:  This is added security for your accounts.  The website or application will send you a verification code to your phone by text or by email.

3. Update your devices: Software fixes (Windows update, and app updates) block         security vulnerabilities from being exploited.
